The Tours Municipal Data (TMD) - Transcrire l’écrit délibératif municipal project aims to transcribe and digitally publish in XML-TEI the archival manuscripts related to the municipal deliberations of the city of Tours for the 15th and 16th centuries. With a large corpus of deliberation registers and associated documents (approximately 6000 manuscript folios), the aim is to facilitate exploration by researchers (full-text searches, nominun index, locorum index, rerum index), and to identify the major changes in municipal writing and decision-making methods during the various institutional periods of the city (assembly of inhabitants before 1462, municipality thereafter, and finally, a period of religious conflicts), while the city is at the heart of the kingdom of France.
