This projet aims to develop, test, and validate a TEI-XML P5 encoding scheme, meticulously modeling the variations in the critical tradition of Chrétien de Troyes’ Cligés. This encoding scheme will be applied and tested on the very first part of the novel, which is the prequel to Cligés’ adventures (vv. 1-2300 approx.), which I will also edit. For my MA thesis, I provided a new edition of the text, based on an unedited manuscript (Paris, BN, fr. 375). During and alongside my PhD, I continued my research, aiming to realize the first digital scholarly edition of the novel, under the supervision of Mr. Frédéric Duval. I have also consistently benefited from the expertise and help of Mr. Jean-Baptiste Camps. At the current stage of my research, I have already acquired the text of all the manuscripts of the corpus (excluding the fragments). I have lemmatized, post-corrected, and encoded them in accordance with the TEI Guidelines. In doing so, I have almost completed the preparation of the corpus.
