The TapAS project aims to create a scientific indexing and annotation structure that will allow the identification of areas of interest in the Spatialized Information Documentary System (SIDS) of the Bayeux Tapestry. This SIDS is a high-quality digital representation of the Bayeux Tapestry, making it easier to visualise and study.
The TapAS project wishes to produce data in order to redocument the Tapestry and provide a reference tool for scholars, enabling new research on the Tapestry in both its material and documentary dimensions, thus opening the way to interpretations and reinterpretations of this work.
